Pete has an extensive hockey background. He started his minor hockey career in Toronto at age eight and his exceptional playing skills allowed him to play in the Western Hockey League at 16 years old. He played with the Portland Winter Hawks and two years later, he was traded to the Victoria Cougars in British Columbia.
He was the Cougar's Most Valuable Player two years in a row and a Western Hockey League All-Star. Pete was also featured in the book: Victoria's Top Athletes.
He was then drafted by the New Jersey Devils. En route to his professional career, he studied physical education at the University of Calgary and led the Calgary Dinosaurs to the country's number one ranking in hockey two years in a row. He then played professionally in Sweden and North America.
Working in summer hockey schools for over ten years, Pete saw a need for personal one-on-one coaching.
Brad has been in Langley for the Last 10 years, since moving from Brandon, MB. After playing Senior hockey Brad began coaching Bantam A rep, as well as his own kids. He has been coaching for 13 years, the past 10 years in Langley. Brad is also heavily involved in Langley Minor Hockey being on the Executive. Brad has a passion for hockey, especially teaching and coaching. His best assets are challenging the kids and getting the most out of them.
Kyle comes to NHTC after having an successful Junior playing career followed by Coaching the St. Albert Bantam and Midget AAA teams and assisting in Junior A. St. Albert is one of the top Minor Hockey programs in Alberta. Currently he is the Head Coach of the Cloverdale Colts - Midget A2 team.
Jody is positively the most enthusiastic Power Skating instructor around. She has the unique talent of finding a skater's problem areas and correcting them. She is the perfect combination of tough and gentle in her techniques. Her drills are fast, fun and fresh. She has been one of the most sought after Power Skating Instructors in both Hockey and Ringette for years.
ROB THOMPSON Rob teaches our Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter skating programs at NHTC. In the Fall he coaches in the Langley Minor Hockey Rep Program. In the Spring he is an active coach in our Warriors Spring Hockey Program.
JEN MARSHALL Jen played women's semi professional in BC. She coaches girls minor hockey and has been coaching with us since 1997.
Scott Farrell was originally drafted in the WHL by the Red Deer Rebels but chose to play in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Following that he played NCAA Division 1 hockey with Alaska Fairbanks. After graduating Scott played pro hockey for three years in Europe, then coached and played in Asia. Scott is a certified strength and conditioning coach and for the past three years has trained high performance individuals and teams including the Valley West Hawks in the BC Major Midget League. Scott has a BA in Psychology and is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
