Training Guidelines for Minor Hockey Players

Ensure your minor hockey player is ready for tryouts this fall by ramping up their training over the summer months.

Our minor hockey training provides a wide-range of summer hockey camps in Langley, which includes…

INTRODUCTION TO HOCKEY. This program is for players who can already skate or have graduated from our “Learn to Skate” program.  It is designed to teach a combination of skating, puck control and teamwork as an introduction to hockey.

EDGE, POWER, STRIDE FOUNDATIONS. Our Edge, Power, Stride program is designed to improve and enhance a strong skating foundation. Skaters must know how to skate forward, backwards, and stop on command.

OFFENSIVE CAMP. This offensive camp focuses on moves and puck control. It will help you enter the offensive zone and beat players one on one. Each player will have the opportunity to shoot a lot of pucks and work on quick moves that gives offensive players chances to score.

BODY CONTACT. This camp is designed for players ages 10-12 and starting in contact hockey or for those wanting to improve their skills. Players will learn or review basic body checking and receiving skills including rub outs, pins, open ice checks, and angling

SHOOT TO SCORE! – This camp is designed for players ages 8-12. It will hone the skills required to become an accurate and proficient shooter. As well, it will build a player’s confidence to maintain and control the puck in every situation.
