Small Group Classes
12 - 1 Hour Classes
Renowned skating instructor, Jody Meadows, will be offering a new small group training session this Spring at NHTC. Groups will be sport specific for Ringette and for Hockey.
Jody’s groups will have a minimum of 5 skaters and a maximum of 10 skaters. This allows Jody to work with each skater individually within the small group setting.
Jody is dedicated to individual instruction with the goal of teaching strong skating fundamentals. She helps her players to develop while giving positive encouragement as well as technical direction. She has an impressive and extensive alumni list, who have trusted in her abilities to help them become better players.
“My two daughters have been skating with Jody Meadows for the past 5 years. Over the past five years we have worked with many instructors but we have never worked with one that is as technical as Jody has been. It doesn’t matter the level of skater your child is…when Jody sees something that can be improved upon she will work with that child and she will correct that child until the skill is learned. This past year we had the pleasure of Jody helping out at both my daughters minor hockey teams for extra power skating skills. To see how the kids were at the beginning of the season and how they were at the end of the season was a remarkable testament of how well kids respond to Jodi and the way that she can teach different skating skills. We have often wondered many times if we should put our kids in hockey development or skating development and our conclusion is if your child is not a strong skater and doesn’t possess the proper skating skills the game of hockey will never come naturally to them. When you were a strong skater and you have mastered the skills of skating you don’t have to think about what you’re doing out there and that allows you to think about the game of hockey and what your next move is. My husband and I have highly recommended Jody Meadows and will continue to recommend Jody Meadows!! She truly is one of the best!!”
