National Training Hockey Centre – or NHTC, as we like to call it, would like to help our immediate and neighbouring communities skate into summer safely without foregoing FUN!

We have put a lot of thoughtful consideration into every stage of our re-opening process, and you all have been amazing gracious and willing team-players every step of the way. As a reflection of that – our courses and ice rentals have been 100% filled for June.

There is still a chance to get into one of our many Langley ice rental options for hockey and ringette throughout the summer months of July and August though, as well as our FUNdamental Summer Camps! Hockey is alive and well at NHTC, and we want as many people who can safely join us – to sign up as soon as possible for the limited spaces that we are making open to the public in-line with BC health regulations via the Fraser Health Board and the broader BC Government guidelines as well.

Learning the FUNdamentals – Summer Skating Camps in Langley

We have two FUN summer skating camps coming up at NHTC, which include…

LEARN TO SKATE – 4 Day Camp – 45-Minute Classes

Led by Marcie Munroe, this program teaches the fundamentals of skating in a positive and encouraging environment. The skills learned throughout the program will provide skaters with the basic skills and techniques to continue into Hockey, Ringette, or Skating for Recreation.

Players will be evaluated and placed in groups according to skill level from Beginner to Advanced.  During these sessions, players may be moved as they advance.  Parents may join their beginners on the ice, until independence is obtained.

*Please Note: Helmets, Skates and Warm Gloves are Required + Parents Must Wear a Helmet.

INTRODUCTION TO HOCKEY – 5 Day Camp – 1 Hour Classes

Led by Shawn Boone, this program is for players who can already skate or have graduated from our “Learn to Skate” program.  It is designed to teach a combination of skating, puck control and teamwork as an introduction to hockey.

Players will be evaluated and placed in groups according to skill level and may be moved as they advance.

*Please Note: Full Hockey Gear is Required!

NHTC is your go to rink for hockey, ringette, and ice skating, proudly serving athletes and families from all over the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley, including Langley, Cloverdale, Surrey, Abbotsford, and Maple Ridge.
